      Guru Poornima Celebration

The word Guru is derived from two words, gu and ru. The Sanskrit root gu means darkness or ignorance, and ru denotes the remover of that darkness. Therefore, a Guru is one who removes the darkness of our ignorance. Gurus are believed by many to be the most necessary part of life. On this day, disciples offer pooja (worship) or pay respect to their Guru (spiritual guide).Nrityadarpan celebrates this day through dance every year by paying respects to teachers and express their gratitude

      By Veena Bhat

"Life is relationships, joy, beauty, emotion, growth, experiences, the natural and the artificial. Without water there'll be no life. Lake=Life. Let's preserve our lakes, our lives. And Art Flows like water as the art reaches out and empowers mankind. keeping belief in this Nrityadarpan(Founder Veena Bhat) with IPAAC(Founder Shobha and Narendrakumar Nagashetti) and PNLIT took this initiative to celebrate Rajyotsava this year in this beautifully revived neighbourhood lake." An effort to empower environment and create an awareness that lingers through generations and saves a beautiful future through rhythm and ragas.
